Food Security
Much is being said these days about the issue of food security. Delta farmers play a key role at the forefront of this important issue.
In 2019 the British Columbia Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Competitiveness, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Office of the Premier commissioned a task force to study and provide recommendations on the future of BC's food system.
Delta Fresh addresses many of the findings and recommendations contained in the report, such as investments in aggrotech and reducing GHG emissions through improved production measures and reduced transportation requirements.
